To provide fair and equal chance of winning to all GO 106 listeners, the following are the official rules for all contests on GO 106 (WKGO-FM) - including website contests and contests conducted on Social Media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) - unless otherwise posted.
All winners must be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated and/or posted. All legal age limits will be strictly enforced (21 years for alcohol and related products etc.)
Winning is restricted to only one winner per household every 30 days, unless otherwise specifically stated in official rules for another specific contest.
Redemption of prizes require the verification of proper picture identification, and only the winner may pick up the prize unless prior arrangements are made to have another pick up the prize for the winner. Winner forfeits the prize if not picked up within 14 days.
Cash winners are solely responsible for all taxes and/or fees that may be incurred. All cash winners are required to verify proper and legal picture identification and Social Security number within 14 days of winning the cash prize. All verifications must be made in person at WKGO's business office at 350 Byrd Avenue, Cumberland Maryland 21502 during regular business hours, M-F 9a-3p, (unless other arrangements are made to properly verify identification).
Winner may forfeit any and all cash winnings if verification cannot or has not been made within 14 days. Upon proper verification, cash winnings will be awarded by check, in person at the WKGO studio location.
Each prize winner must supply GO 106 with legal name, mailing address, birth date, daytime and nighttime telephone numbers. In the case of a cash winner, winner must also supply social security number.
Unless otherwise stated and/or posted, winners will be selected only on GO 106's official contest lines (301) 724-1061 and toll-free contest telephone lines of 1-866-724-1061.
Caller may not substitute his or her name with that of another person, nor will GO 106 accept anyone calling in for another person whose name has been declared a winner.
Contestants calling GO 106's official contest lines make the reasonable assumption that their telephone conversation will be recorded for playback, and therefore provide permission to GO 106 to air such conversation and use winners name and voice for promotional purposes. Likewise, the winner’s acceptance of prizes provides permission for GO 106 to use their name and likeness of the winner in all GO 106 publications including the go106 website located at www.go106.com and Facebook Fan Page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/WKGO-1061-FM/134897179860499.
No substitutions of prize winnings allowed. All winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees, and all such additional costs that may be incurred.
Neither GO 106, nor its employees, may be held liable for any costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of usage of any winners once possession has been made by winner.
Management, employees, families of GO 106, WTBO-WKGO Corporation llc or participating sponsors of GO 106 are prohibited from winning any prizes awarded by GO 106.
GO 106 (WKGO-FM) reserves the right to alter any rules of any contest at anytime.
Copies of these rules may be picked up at the WKGO FM business office in Cumberland during regular business hours.
